Summary
When Jack Drake’s business trip gets canceled, he is forced to stay at home while the legal kinks get worked out. He’s not used to having a teenager underfoot, so it’s only rational that he’s a little snappish around Tim. At least, that’s what Tim tells himself each time his dad’s idea of discipline gets harsher.
Bruce had told him to take a break from Robin in order to spend some time at home with his dad, and Tim can’t say no to that. He knows Bruce is probably glad to be rid of him for a short while.
And he can handle discipline. This is a Tim Drake problem, not a Robin problem anyway. There’s no need for Bruce to know anything.
Things get a little muddled when an injured Jason Todd crawls through his bedroom window.

Summary
Timothy Drake-Wayne built a lot of his life on secrets. Finding out Batman and Robin's started a spiral of hidden truths that directed his life in a web of secrets he's rather unsure how to even escape. He might be the spider who crafted it, sure, but more often he feels like the bug (bird?) stuck in it.
That was to say, sometimes Tim wishes less of his life was a secret. Sometimes he wishes he could just… Tell people everything.
Wishes he could tell them about sometimes-Red Robin sometimes-Robin. Wishes he could tell them about being trans, instead of being forced to go stealth so early in life and too afraid to stop doing so even with the Drakes dead. Wishes he could tell his family, maybe, about his time with Ra's. Maybe it's more necessary than wishing that he could tell them about his missing spleen.
(He should really tell someone about the spleen.)
He kind of hates keeping secrets, he's learned. From everyone.
Especially Bernard. He hates keeping secrets from Bernard.

He should really try to be a bit less excited about that last part.

Have you ever seen someone outside the place you normally know them and just… not recognised them? Like spotting a teacher in the supermarket, or your doctor out walking their dog, and your brain takes a second to catch up? Psychologists even have a name for it; the “butcher-on-the-bus” effect. Out of context, even the people closest to us can look like strangers. And sometimes, it’s not their face that brings them back to you at all, but their voice, their laugh, or the way they still crack a joke when they really shouldn’t.
When you hear a deep rumbling voice emanating from something that seems more shadow than man you don’t question who is speaking. That’s obviously Batman.
