Summary
After Ice was promoted to Admiral he still kept himself certified to pilot F-18. He thought: ‘You'll never know when you would need it.’ And the sky was his freedom, one place he had peace, it was even more perfect when his wingman was at his wing.
He never thought that he would teach again, but something unimaginable happened, and together with his husband, he needed to teach twelve aviators for a mission and choose six of them for the mission. A mission that needed three miracles to succeed.

Ice had never thought that a punch of stray aviators could come and kidnap his heart, that they could capture Mav's, that was not a surprise, but Ice’s. That was kind of a Miracle. He had always guarded his heart well, Maverick, Bradley, Carol, the flyboys and the Metcalfs had found their way in and of course his sister, he would never forget Sarah.
But he had never expected someone else to warm in, moreover eleven of them. He had twelve kids now, kids his husband had adopted and because of that Ice had to adopt them as well. And now they had grown on him.

“Leon? What–”
“You’re here,” says Morgana, “finally. I’m going to inform Arthur. Keep him here until Gaius gets back.”
While Morgana’s been talking, he’s somehow been steered over to the bed and sat down. All the movement has made his head spin, and he wobbles, trying to get up but his head won’t let him. Or maybe it’s the strong hands on his shoulders. He follows them up to Leon’s concerned face.
“Let me up, I have things to do.”
“No you don’t,” says Leon firmly. “You’re injured, Merlin, you’re not going anywhere.”Merlin's hurt by a knight. At least he has his friends to care for him.
