Summary
Tim Drake is fine. He brought Bruce back from the timestream alive, faces down Ra's assassins without batting an eye, and manages family therapy with Damian on a semi-regular basis. His parent’s plane crashed six weeks ago; killing his mother and partially paralyzing his father. Tim is fine. He adds their responsibilities into his routine and keeps moving. Okay, maybe that gross terrible feeling in his chest that happens every so often isn’t fine but if it was fatal then it probably would’ve killed him already. So, y’know, totally fine! When something doesn’t sit right about the latest board update from Drake Industries, Tim decides to dig. Tim’s choice to do what is right comes from a place of anger and revenge, gilded with the guilt of knowing he could’ve changed things sooner if he’d just been better. It turns out the people around Tim have a lot of feelings about all of this. Damian is right. Family is not about blood. It is not about the capes or the galas; and Tim’s performance is apparently irrelevant. Family is, in fact, a two way street. Tim is beginning to understand what that means.
