Summary
August 27, 1989, Izzy’s infamous arrest. In a moment of insanity, Izzy foolishly whipped his dick out and urinated in public. Now ashamed and disgraced, he doesn’t think he can reach any lower but Axl, who is fed up with watching his ex-lover’s downward spiral, proves him wrong, starting with detox, which fucks with Izzy’s mind and reveals more truth than Izzy is willing to admit.
Axl’s idea of rehabilitation is by no means conventional. He claims it’s custom tailored to fit Izzy’s needs but Izzy isn’t entirely convinced. In the early days of their humble beginnings on the Sunset Strip, Axl’s growing interest in bdsm frightened Izzy into making a dumb choice which eventually led to their break-up. And now, at his most vulnerable, physically and emotionally, Izzy suspects this is just Axl’s way of simultaneously punishing him and fulfilling the hardcore fantasies that scared him in the first place. Or maybe that’s just want Izzy wants to believe, trying to cling to what little pride he has left rather than admit to himself and Axl that this ridiculous, confusing, humiliating process Izzy’s being forcedly dragged through is secretly what he’s been craving this whole time.
