Summary
When it came to people, and creatures, on the Grand Line, Sanji knew that Luffy was one of the toughest ones. He’d known it ever since their first meeting. Luffy was made of rubber but he may as well have been made of iron for how strong he was.
Which was why Sanji was so surprised to find Luffy’s weakness to be what it was:

“What are you talking about? What wedding?” she demands as coherently as she can while running on only two-and-a-half hours of sleep.

Summary
Luffy’s eyes are unfocused as he smiles at Sanji. Robin takes a measured sip of her coffee in the same amount of time it takes Luffy to bite clear through half of his sandwich.
Sanji swipes a few napkins off the table and sets about wiping crumbs from Luffy’s face. “I’m so sorry about him, Robin-chan.”
“It’s quite alright,” she says. And it is because there is something very sweet about the scene in front of her. Robin smiles. One out of seven lights click on.

Summary
Not being a party guy and relatively sure Luffy isn’t dying somewhere for no understandable reason, Law planned on resting in the guest room he’d been provided at the palace. He wasn’t really big on being counted on as a big hero, but staying outside meant dealing with Kid trying to thank him or kill him (hard to tell), so trying to rest was the plan.
And then Luffy barged into his room anyway, and Law had to pretend he wasn’t relieved to see him.
“What do you want, Luffy-ya?”
“I need you to fix Sanji.”

Summary
Luffy couldn’t fault his crew from treating Sanji differently since he had rejoined the Straw Hats. He has been one of the worst ones- clinging onto Sanji whenever he could like he was a lifeline, and pretending like it was something he had always done. Luffy couldn’t fault Zoro for looking at Sanji like he was a ghost, or looking secretly relieved whenever Sanji sprang out of his galley’s door to deliver snacks to everyone on the deck.
“You’re all grieving me.” Sanji said suddenly, making Luffy look up from the tray of food, finally meeting Sanji’s eyes. The action made Luffy finally realize that he had been gazing at Sanji’s chest the whole time he was in the kitchen, right where he had been impaled. “But I’m right here?” Sanji questioned, a hurt expression briefly crossing his face before schooling it back into a guise of neutrality.
Luffy tipped his head forward, so his hat was lowered enough to cover his eyes, unwilling to show his chef the emotions battling within his chest. “Give us time?” He asked, and Sanji leaned back on the counter, closed his eyes, and nodded.

The crew deals with the trauma of seeing one of their own stabbed through the heart.

Summary
“Oh! Did you grow up eating this, Sanji? You’re from the North Blue, right?”
There is a brief moment where Sanji considers strangling the little doctor, as he can feel the focus of everyone on the ship land squarely on him.
Law’s eyes narrow at that, and Sanji can see them briefly flick in the direction of where Franky and Brook are now bemoaning their lack of knowledge about his background, and then slowly move back until they were focused on him instead.
Oh. This was a mistake.
Trafalgar Law has the weirdest accent he's ever heard, and is clearly hiding something. Sanji is determined to get to the bottom of it.The Straw Hats' chef speaks the Northern language like no one else Law has ever heard, and Law is intent on picking that mystery apart.

Sunny? Sanji racked his brain, searching desperately for something to connect with that name. Slowly, through the haze, he caught glimpses of grass, a homey kitchen and tangerine trees. He could picture sails and a grinning flag with a straw hat. Could hear the trill of a violin, bubbling laughter and swords being sharpened and polished. Could smell sweet perfume, meat and ocean. A ship. Sunny.
“Home…” he whispered.

Summary
It didn’t take not one week on the Going Merry for the rest of the crew to realize that Sanji was the only member who knew how to tie a tie. He wore one practically everyday; it was like a Sanji Staple. Why would anyone else ever need to know how?
Eventually, Sanji came to terms with his lost cause of a crew and actually turned the situation into something positive for himself. Just like he loved being able to provide for the crew in the form of cooking, he was able to provide for them in the form of… tying ties when they needed him to?

Because for some ungodly reason all they seem to care about is Whitebeard's newest son, Ace.
(Ace is very confused and has never met these people in his life.)
