“Shut the fuck up, Edward,” Izzy remarks mildly but he hears Ned’s teeth click together as his jaw snaps shut.
Izzy doesn’t use his full name unless he means business. And he’d spoken true. Ned *might* be able to get out of one of his knots, but not easily, and he hadn’t had the time or the privacy to try. Ironically, before the leg, that name would have caused Izzy to stumble. Now, he yanks Ned around a corner and has the pleasure of seeing him be the one to stagger as he says just as mildly, “I’m trying something new.”
