Summary
Tally Craven has horrible, ugly nightmares full of blood and death, and the strong foresight that's granted to her fae matriline suggests that that's not a good thing. In fact, it probably spells doom for all the creatures on this plane, be they human, fae, shifter, witch, or vampire. The fae don't usually interfere in other beings' business, but Tally feels it's her duty to figure out what her dreams mean, and why she has them.
There's only one place to go to find answers: Salem Academy, founded hundreds of years ago by Sarah Alder, the infamous Samhain Reaper—the most bloodthirsty vampire in history. Though Tally expects to spend her time mired in books at the Academy to figure out what her dreams mean, perhaps, just perhaps, Alder herself is the one with the answers.

Summary
Twelve years after Alder’s death, Tally, Raelle, Abigail, Scylla, Khalida, and Adil stand as the last witches alive. The war is lost. Fort Salem has fallen. Witchkind has been hunted to the brink of extinction.
Their final stand against the Camerilla ends in blood and fire, courage spent against an enemy that was never meant to win. They fight anyway, until there is nothing left to give.
In the aftermath of their defeat, as the last echoes of witchwork fade from the world, the Mother appears. She offers them a single, impossible mercy: a chance to go back, to right the wrongs that led them here, to protect witchkind before it is too late, and to save the people they loved and lost.
