Summary
Hibernation is fundamental for mobian health.
It is necessary for emotional and mental processing of memories through reliving them, preparing mammals for the next year as winter ends once again.
Shadow wouldn't know this of course, since he was exempt from the habit, being born as the "Ultimate Lifeform" and whatnot. Sonic on the other hand, has always been very good at running from his problems.
- In which, Sonic is forced to relive his past, and Shadow is forced to think about his future.

Summary
Sonic the Hedgehog.
He goes by many names, takes on many roles. To those closest to him, he’s the best friend you could ask for. To those who challenge him, he’s a force to be reckoned with. To most of the world, he’s a hero, a legend to rival the days of old.
If you were to ask Sonic himself, he would say he’s no one special.
He’s wrong.
He knows he’s wrong. He knows he’s special in ways he doesn’t yet understand. It’s hard to ignore when the chaos emeralds thrum constantly in the back of his head, reminding him of the role he’s meant to fill. The role he rejects every time he borrows their power.
When the time comes, he will accept, because that’s just who he is. For now, he tries to live life like he always has, because there comes a day when he will no longer be able to ignore what lies ahead of him.
Tell him, how does he make the most of the moment when the moment lasts eternity?(AKA: The chaos emeralds claim Sonic as their guardian, essentially turning him into a god. Now, he has to deal with the implications of that— and immortality.)

Summary
Sonic had given everything of himself for their sake. He fought beings of immense power, endured the cybercorruption, braved grueling trials, and even faced the embodiment of death itself.
And now, he lies in front of them unconscious, dirty and covered in injuries, after falling like a fading, lost star.
Sonic's pain brought their physical bodies back, destroying all of the chains trapping them to those accursed islands. The least they can do now... is to return the favor. It's time to go home.
