And it becomes increasingly doubtful that Bruce Wayne will escape this week with both his secrets and company intact.
OR: the story of how Bruce Wayne tries to be so annoying he throws Clark off the scent of Batman's secret identity and completely cocks it all up (figuratively and literally).

Then he took a deep breath and he changed. He ironed out every fold in his posture and his face until he looked like Superman again. His shoulders were broad, his gaze was confident, and his smile showed no sign of embarrassment or fear.
It’s genuinely uncomfortable to watch.
Especially since Bruce knows that change. He’s seen it in the mirror before entering parties or nightclubs. He’s always referred to it, internally, as 'putting on my better face.' The façade is his least favourite part of the day, ranking just below 'getting punched by supervillains.'
The idea that Superman is just Kal's better face, that would explain a lot.
It would also mean Bruce isn't alone.

“What do your girlfriends all see in him, anyway?” Clark asked wearily.
Lois's eyebrows shot up. “You’re joking. Oh my god, you’re not joking. Clark, Bruce Wayne is eligible, young, and rich. And even if he weren’t, I don’t know if you happened to notice this around the trauma of having to listen to him make it with a gossip columnist, but he’s practically sex in a suit.”
“Yeah, I get that. But he’s just so, so...” He made a face. “Vacant. There’s no there there. That would have to get old pretty quickly.”
She reached over and prodded him a little, her fingertips light against his ribs. “I get that he’s no Batman, but c’mon. Not everybody’s going to have access to a space station full of superheroes in skin-tight outfits to pick from. Some of us mere mortals are stuck having to settle for impossibly handsome, wealthy, sexually cooperative dullards.”
