For years now Grace and Agnes had a routine. Agnes like all old ladies back on earth, loved her routine and loved to stick to it. Always she would come over with something to show him a gift or general show and tell, and then they would talk for some time usually a few hours, before he would go to bed and she would watch.
So when she came over as always to watch him sleep but forgot to bring anything, and rushed their usual chat, only to wake him up in the middle of the night; he knew something was off.

"Hey colt." A terribly family voice began. He had to pause it already. It was a video. From a usb. One that he had so anti-climactically had simply plugged it into his laptop and clicked the video file. He was nervous. curled up in the dark room, another storm outside.

When Rocky finds out he can actually sense lights, just not in a visual way. And its not very fun. And Grace learns that while rocky can make noises he can't hear. He ocassionally can still fell them.
Or: Rocky and Grace both get migraines cuz im suffering and i want them to suffer too.

Now that I know Grace likes music, I might be able to make gyroscope out of xenonite, will sound incorrect but will be something. "Will make. Will create music for Grace," I commit. I scuttle back through my airlock. "Can thinking machine play more human music, question?" I request.
"Sure, buddy. I have all the music that's ever been recorded," it replies. What? All the music ever? Humans are incredible. Put everything on thinking machine.
Grace shows Rocky some human music and Rocky shares some of his own.
