The team investigates a Genii bunker where stolen C4 Explosives should be hidden. Too bad the bunker is full of DEATH TRAPS. It’s not as if they weren’t warned – there were lots of warnings. Everyone gets banged up or trapped or something horrible happens to them. Rodney gets the worst of it, of course.

Summary
The Ghosts in Atlantis are bored because Rodney is off on a mission on the dinosaur planet. Suddenly the ghosts hear that an energy beast has consumed one of their own! They need to alert Atlantis to this threat while trying to deal with this emergency. This answer is a challenge to write a spooky story that includes three V’s. And another challenge to write a Halloween story with my assigned prompt “a spooky pier”. One more challenge will be revealed at the end.

This story will keep you on the edge of your seat! It has intrigue, a mystery, suspense and the interlopers in the City of the Ancestors get toppled like ten-pins. You'll find smashed noses, dangling scientists, drugged out colonels, broken bones, vomiting blenders, plunging jumpers, mashed glasses, bad reception, scary machinery, disappearing floors, SHARKS and an awful lot of water. Some toilets might back up too (not sure if I deleted that part or not). Bad things happen and nearly everyone gets broken, drowned, dislocated, bruised, sliced, dropped or maimed in some hideous way.

I have weird ancient equipment, cute cuddly scenes, pink shoes, Wraith attacks, headaches, cool toys, prerequisite infirmary scenes. Someone gets shot. What the hell does "whump" mean, anyway? Don't drink anything when you're reading this story because you will seriously SPEW. Seriously... I mean it! If not from laughter, this story will make you seriously ill. It's worse than the bird flu. And have those hankies handy! So many amazing things happen in this story, you won't know which way is up. McKay is a pain in the ass and you'll still think he's cute! That's not fair. NOMINATED for a 2006 Stargate Fan Award! - NOMINATED for a 2007 Stargate Fan Award!

Something mysterious happens to Rodney and he becomes disconnected from his body. His body is left behind while his consciousness roams like a ghost. His team worries while Rodney‘s consciousness wanders around Atlantis, running into the ghosts of those who have died, people he knew, and others that he is meeting for the first time. This is sort of a crossover or homage to the TV shows “Ghosts-UK” and "Ghosts CBS". There are ghosts in Atlantis that use the same ghost rules as the TV shows. Rodney learns that people care about him, not just his massive intelligence
