Yuta froze, his heart skipping like struck by a gentle lightning bolt. The world—the kitchen, the wall, everything outside—faded in an instant. Only those words remained.
The girl who wielded sarcasm like a sword, hid her heart under layers of thorns and provocative grins.
Oh, she was affectionate: in their intimate moments, she held him with fierce tenderness, teased him with mischievous smiles, made him tremble with possessive touches. But those words? Rare as shooting stars. And every time she said them, Yuta felt moved like it was the first time. -

Maki blushed slightly, hesitating, clenching her fists for a moment. “…I made them myself.”
Yuta looked up at her, surprised. For a moment, he got lost in Maki’s delicate gesture as she brushed a strand of hair from her face, trying to avert her gaze. The blush on her cheeks, the barely noticeable tremble of her hands… everything about her spoke without words.
“Really?”
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Maki replied, trying to seem indifferent, though her voice wavered slightly. “Is it that hard to imagine me cooking?”
Yuta scratched his head, lips pressed into an awkward smile. “N-No! It’s just… I didn’t expect it. But I have to admit… wow, they look amazing.”
She huffed, crossing her arms to hide her embarrassment. “They’re for you.”

Anya avrebbe tanto voluto ribattere, ma il commento di Emile la precedette.
"Lord Damian! Dovreste partecipare allo spettacolo!"
Erwen annuì in sostegno "Vero! Sareste un principe perfetto!"
Damian lanciò un ultimo sguardo alla locandina e ad Anya sembrò scorgere un velo di speranza.
"Ci penserò. Non voglio deconcentrarmi troppo sullo studio, dopotutto."
Poi se ne andò e i suoi amici lo seguirono a ruota.
Anya non gli aveva letto il pensiero, ma con il tempo aveva imparato a capire alcuni suoi atteggiamenti. Forse era solo una sua impressione, ma aveva la tremenda sensazione che, nonostante il comportamento sostenuto, a Damian interessasse davvero lo spettacolo.
Sorrise, pensando che non solo avrebbe ottenuto la sua Stellae, ma passando tutto quel tempo con col secondogenito avrebbe anche potuto stringere amicizia. -

"Non sono il mio genere."
