Summary
The Vek had roamed the universe for time immemorial, devouring planets whole and birthing their children before moving on to ravage the next. For years, Humanity watched from their cradle as the swarm closed in, observing from their telescopes as exo planets once deemed suitable for life are subsumed and devoured before their inevitable extinction. And as they marched towards earth, they made an Executive decision. The polar icecaps were melted and the planet was plunged into devastation, only to prevent the snowballing breeding of the Vek. Billions died, and more were left to starve as vaults laden with everything the children of tommorow would need.
