Leo couldn't be happier that his brothers are really growing into themselves and expanding their social circles.
He's excited for them in finding new hobbies and interests that take up their time... a lot of their time... pretty much all of it.
It's fine that they're not as interested in training anymore, or running patrols because Karai's Foot Clan is doing very well to keep the streets of New York safe.
It's fine that he's finding himself spending more and more time alone because even April and Casey are moving on and getting ready to go to college and don't really have any time to spare.
He's happy that everyone seems to be moving on.
Even if there doesn't seem to be any room for him in their lives anymore...

Huey moved to do as he was told but Louie paused him with a tug on his sleeve. He pleaded with his barely older brother: “Is it just me or does this feel more stupidly dangerous than our usual adventures?”

An adventure goes wrong, causing Huey to make a devastating choice to save Louie while Della learns more about each of her boys. More than she was ready to stomach. (This is vaguely a continuation of my last fic but you don't need to read that for this. Way too fast. Fast and erratic and just a little too brutal, and that’s coming from him; she’s mowing through those guys, one after the other, slash after slash after crazy fucking slash, and he’s watching and he’s getting distracted and annoyed about it, and the pieces snap together right on the wrong end of an April-clone punch to the shell:
Ah, shit. She’s angry.
