Summary
It's the off-season, there's no reason for Roy to be awake this early, and no reason for Jamie to be out running when its pouring down with rain. So its a surprise when Jamie turns up on Roy's doorstep looking like someone’s dragged him backwards through a hedge twice and then tried to drown him. Mud caked down his side, smudged on his jaw and worryingly, Roy thinks he can see some red through the patches on his leg, like there’s a wicked graze hiding beneath it.
Set post S3. Minor injuries + Emotions + soft Fluff.

How someone as sweet as her would be charmed by that, he would never know. Hell, even if Jason Carver was admittedly a cute guy, his personality was reminiscent of a burning tire dump.
Eddie offered her a wave as she departed from the van, taking a moment to press his forehead to the wheel and take a deep breath. Back to reality

He shifts his cargo carefully, adjusting his hold on the boy so that his head is supported and his face is shielded from the snowfall against the thick, deep green fur that covers Izuku’s body.
“Just hold on,” Izuku says as he turns into the snowfall to begin the long trek back home. “I’ll keep you safe, I promise.”
And maybe, just maybe, if Izuku does a good enough job this one will stay long enough to realize that just because Izuku looks like a beast now, he’s still human in all of the ways that matter.

It was nice to sit and laugh with someone for a second. Eddie broke the white noise of the rain and thunder, the ticking of that gaudy clock, the quiet that had been engulfing her booth before. The quiet that reminded her her studying partner hadn’t even cared to call. Reminded her that Mom was still mad at her. That all she had to look forward to for the next few months was a mosquito army and/or sympathetic glances from the squad. Probably summer school. And more awkward phone calls from her ex-boyfriend.
Or, with her luck lately, maybe Vecna would rise from the dead.
It was going to be a bleak vacation.
But there, for that moment, in a diner with the school freak, she didn’t have to think about any of that. She could just enjoy the company of someone who got it.
