Always appearing when you're out front, always seeking your attention, smiling just a bit too brightly, talking to you with just a bit too much familiarity in his tone. And now- You weren't imagining things. He was following you. - You make a phone call with shaky hands, half expecting it to not go through, but moments after the third ring, someone picks up on the other end of the line. "Who is this?" You let out a shaky breath and squeeze your eyes together. "John? John, it's me. Can you please come and pick me up? I need your help."

"You owe me big time for this one, Laswell." You say softly into your earpiece as you weave about the tunnel, stepping over body after body you had downed, your sniper rifle strapped to your back, silenced pistol in one hand, knife in another. You'd been called in last minute to help out from the shadows while the actual team worked ahead.
"A favor for a favor." Laswell responds.
It was rare to get such an offer from her. You figured it was because she wanted this mission to go as smooth as possible. You'd helped her and gotten your hands plenty dirty like this before, nothing new. This time you'd been assigned to help watch their backs while they work their way through the chunnel. What you didn't expect was a near miss with none other than Makarov himself and then being all but drug by the scruff to work with 141 themselves directly. Fun!

So when he's forced to sit in English Literature Revision as punishment for falling behind, He dreads the fact that you are there to witness him. See him.
He's run into you before. And he doesn't know how to categorise the feelings he has for you, not as you make it so easy for him to sit next to you.Years later, despite having shoved you out of his life, you slip back into it somehow. It drives him nuts.

Teenage Simon Riley being fucking horrid to himself as he crushes on the reader then Adult Simon Riley also being fucking horrid to himself when he's reunited with her.
