Make sure you know what you’re gettin’ yourself into. ‘Cause if we go down this road,” He leaned forward, giving her a look that was more earnest than any he’d given in the past century at least, “there ain’t no puttin’ the genie back in the bottle, so to speak.”
Woman never ran out of audacity, because that made her laugh, dipping her head down with the force of it before she looked back at him. Her pupils were far too pinned for her to give a proper smoldering look, but he could see the intent there all the same. “I don’t know what a ‘genie’ is, but I get the idea. Is that supposed to scare me? Because it doesn’t. I can handle you.”
