Like everyone else who’s read this book, I’m still suffering from the hangover that came from finishing it. Attempting to work out the hangover by taking a stab at what happens next.
Picks up right after Brennan is revealed to be alive. This fic is intended to run until Iron Flame comes out in November. I own nothing. I’m just here to kill time till November :)

Lucienne, Death, and Matthew catch up in time to save him, and to aid him in the weeks following, Destruction of the Endless offers to let Dream (and his friend Hob Gadling) stay with him on his farm in Aotearoa (New Zealand).
A vulnerable and emotional Morpheus agrees. While there, Dream struggles to reconcile his emotional state and sense of self with his duty as an Endless, and most of all, find hope again. His friends, family, and allies do their best to help him find answers, aid in nourishing hope, and plan for the future.

The walls have some weird shimmery blue pattern on them that moves like waves, and he’s maybe not in the most reasonable mindset, but he is pretty certain that they were just solid white before. He is very certain that the girl who is tracing them with her fingers and giggling quietly was not there before either, because he had had some sense in him and locked all the doors and windows before he’d taken a hit.
