Summary
The entire world collapsed the year the outbreak occurred. Cities were left dead and rotting, nature reabsorbing it's prior territory without mercy throughout the endless cataclysm. Small communities remained hashed away within their depths, desperate to escape the clawed grasp of the roaming dead. Even those that could find their way to other humans would have to be lucky to experience acceptance and mercy in the tragic world that now thrived.
Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado are left scared and alone after the terrible tragedy that stole the lives of their family. In this perilous world, could they ever find peace?
...Or at least manage to keep their lives?

Summary
Rain pattered down. It was heavy and loud, yet disturbed nothing. He could feel the cool air as it blew around and the gentle coldness of it hitting him, and yet it never soaked his clothes. The tiny drops of the waves splashing upwards blended seamlessly in rhythm with the rain that struck it.
He allowed himself to drift off further into his mind. He had spent so much of the day worrying over every little thing, preparing for the worst, so it was about time that he got to relax. Everybody was home, happy, and safe. It was all he wanted.
The wind whispered in the shore’s breeze. It followed the cadence of a gentle, motherly voice, sing-songy in harmony with the rain.
“Child of the sun, you protect your family with such dedication and success.”
“I ask of you a favor in this time of need. I ask of you to continue to protect and save.”

Summary
The girl wasn't afraid but she had not been given permission to speak so she said nothing. The man tilted his head to the side, smile fading to a confused pout.
"Aren't you going to scream?" he asked.
The girl said and did nothing.
His hand tightened around her throat, strong enough it cut off her breath. She did nothing, even when her vision began to blacken as her lungs struggled and twisted from the lack of air. After a moment his hand relaxed and she took a breath, but made no attempt to push away from him or fight his grip.
"That's strange," the man said, "Are you really not afraid?"
She blinked but did not respond. His hand loosened around her throat until he was pressing his bloody index finger against her neck, sensing her pulse. It was as steady and calm as it had ever been since that day she became empty and hollow.
"Well, aren't you interesting. I think I'll keep you," the man decided.
