Forced to sell some of the data on the black market to pay the bills, he is approached by a mysterious user who sought his hacking abilities. He disappears, assumed dead by most, to work for the League of Villains in exchange for a quirk. But when heroes start to pick up on his existence, and embrace him rather than paint him a villain, he wonders if maybe he was wrong about them.

“Old man Lan?” Wei Wuxian blurted out, staring at the aged face of his former teacher.At the back of his mind, Wei Wuxian remembered the cut of his robes, that he wasn’t dressed like a widow at all, but like a Lan.
Lan Qiren looked around, his gaze stuck somewhere above Wei Wuxian’s head, most likely the half-ruined summoning array behind him – fucking stupid, Wei Wuxian should’ve gotten rid of it immediately. Just why did it have to be a Lan summoning him, why Lan Qiren his visitor at the door? Wasn’t death enough punishment?
“Wei Wuxian?” Lan Qiren asked wearily.
Or, Wei Wuxian is summoned back to life in the Cloud Recesses. Unfortunately, the person to find him is Lan Qiren, forcing the unlikely duo to work together to keep the circumstances Wei Wuxian's return undiscovered.

Summary
The ambush at Qiongqi Path is only the beginning of a more elaborate plan to get the Stygian Tiger Seal into Jin hands. A battle leaves 50 cultivators dead and Wei Wuxian in a mindless, resentment-addled rage which has him come to Carp Tower for retribution. There, Jin Guangshan's trap snaps shut and Wei Wuxian is taken prisoner in battle.
Now Jin Guangshan has the Stygian Tiger Seal, the Ghost General and he is about to have Wei Wuxian's head on his wall.
Jiang Cheng has had better days and better plans than some hackneyed last shot to save his life by claiming him as his husband - but here they are, and now they must keep up a pretense that everybody sees through and somehow manage not to kill another. Jiang Cheng really has had better days.
Back at Lotus Pier with his powers blocked by Jin Guangshan and the Wen Remnant taken from him, Wei Wuxian has to rebuild himself once again after having been stripped of all coping mechanisms and what new purpose he had found in his life.

Summary
While picking through the detritus of an old Shinra facility, Vincent discovers an ancient life-support tube. Much to his surprise, not only is it still functional, but so is the person inside.
Much to their surprise, Vincent turns out to be very different from who they were expecting.
9/14/24: One additional post-story chapter, because Sephiroth apparently needed to explore the potential of futuristic sex toys a little more. I like how the Pegasus chapter caps Sephiroth's character development, so instead of putting the new chapter at the end, I've slotted it in as chapter 18 (under Circinus) and bumped the old chapter 18 (Lyra) to 17.

Captured and tortured for thirty-three days, Zack returns blinded and traumatised. No one thought Sephiroth would be the right person to help him, but he promised Angeal he’d look after his puppy, so he’s trying.
A very whump hurt/comfort with lots of angst and fluff. Dead dove warning for the first 3 chapters and a lot near the end of the story.

Jiang Cheng seethes, gripping the bridge of his nose. “I don’t know how to help you,” he admits, “so I’m sending you to the people that do.”
It nearly slips out then, the truth of the matter. Wei Wuxian opens his mouth to snap back ‘There’s no helping me, not now!’ but the words stick in his throat. Shijie is crying and Jiang Cheng is defiant and Lan Zhan is staring at him so earnestly that Wei Wuxian simply doesn’t know how to tell them all that he’s living on borrowed time.
So he doesn’t.

At the behest of his siblings, Wei Wuxian is sent to Gusu to recover from the strain of the Sunshot Campaign.
If only he knew how to do that.
