    After his death at the first siege of the Burial Mounds, Wei Wuxian is thrown back in time to when he was nine years old, just before Jiang Fengmian took him to Lotus Pier with its wavering affection and unpayable mountain of debts. He decides to take the second chance he has been offered, to live freely and without regrets.

    As it turns out, a life without regrets involves:

    3. Desperately missing your not-boyfriend who picked the worst ever timing to confess his undying love for you.

    “I know it’s shitty of me to be so skeptical about us being married, but. Everything is kind of how I thought my life would be. Except you,” Wei Ying said.

    Lan Zhan looked at him neutrally.

    “Do we...” Wei Ying looked around to see if anyone was nearby, then lowered his voice anyway and leaned in to whisper: “Do we have sex?”

    Lan Zhan let out a small huff of a laugh in response, as Wei Ying’s face flooded with color at the squirmy feeling even asking the question brought up in him.

    “Yes,” Lan Zhan replied, once he had gotten over his initial reaction. He maintained steady eye contact. “We do.”

    “Do you know how scenes normally work? Do you –” there’s a sharp intake of breath, as though something has occurred to Lan Zhan too late. Wei Ying looks up and sees Lan Zhan absolutely stricken. “Do you know what BDSM is?”
