Will can’t allow himself the luxury of a wet dream tonight, so he wills for Mike to stop moving.
Mike does not stop moving.
Will frowns, mustering up more focus, sharpening his control.
Mike still doesn’t stop, but he lets out an annoyed whine. “What’s fucking tugging at me right now?”
What.
“I’m—trying to stop you. Stop.” Will’s voice comes out warped and distant, unused to being spoken out loud in the dreamscape.
Mike stops moving, as instructed, breathing heavily against Will’s open mouth. “Why? Isn’t this—isn’t this just a dream? Come on.”
Huh?!
What is Will’s subconscious trying to achieve right now?—or—
Will's powers have been acting up lately, thanks to the stress of college and a part time job.
He finds solace in his usual lucid dreams. Except, suddenly — they get clearer. More vivid. More out of control.
Will assumes it's just his subconscious working through some very obvious problems.
Mike assumes he's just having weird sex dreams about his best friend because he's stressed and pent-up.Neither of them realizes they're sharing them.

Summary
Mike could fool anyone with those eyes.
But Will has had practice.
This is the same expression Mike wore every time he would accidentally press his boner into Will, before their… arrangement was even put into place. The same eyes he used when he suggested kissing practice and he took it too far, grinding Will on the couch. The same tilt of the lips when Will found several of his missing underwear underneath Mike’s pillows, bed, and hamper.
OR: Mike Wheeler is on his pre-rut, and he's making it his best friend's problem.

She didn’t want to make him worry. She hates when he gets that way. So overbearing, so mean and impulsive. Just like Hopper. Just like every Alpha she has met.
Maybe she’s not made for Alphas. She’s a Beta, after all.
“How do you even know I was in here? I never told you I was going to get out today.”
“Will said something—” She started lying, under the big pressure of Mike's intense stare. She wonders that if she had a proper nose she would feel drowned by the bitter coffee scent flying around them. But it just bothers her now.
“Don't lie to me, El. You know I hate lies.”

Mike and El's relationship couldn't be worse, but the girl is too afraid of losing the few things she knows can bring her comfort, so she ends up making a plan. It's simple, really, she just needs to redirect the Alpha's attention from Will, an Omega, to her, a Beta. She'll realize bonds go way deeper than having inner wolves with desires, because Mike and Will's fate was already written in the stars, even before she came into their lives.
