“H-Hey Alpha leader... N-Need something?” Furno asked while trying to hide how bad his voice sounded the held back sobs. ‘Heroes don’t cry’ he told himself repeatedly. His thoughts were silenced however when he felt a hand carefully cradle the left side of his face and made him look at Stormer.
The said Alpha leader was now squatting in front of Furno, cradling the side of the rookie’s face with carefulness as if Furno was a porcelain doll, and his icy blue eyes held nothing but concern and guilt in them.
Whatever Furno tried to say next died in his throat as Stormer pulled him into a hug, arms wrapping around his shoulders and chin resting on his head. “Just let it out kid.” Stormer told him.
And Furno did.
