Life had decided so, she would start her life again from scratch in this new city. As soon as they arrive, an incident occurs: a senior student shoots people in the building next door. The adrenaline of the situation and saving a police officer in the dorm hallway gives her an idea of what she wants to do now: become a police officer in the LAPD. When she'd first drove down the palm-lined streets of California, she couldn't quite believe what she was witnessing. There were people her age, having fun. Roller skating down the pier, skateboarding down into pits, surfers running to the sea like they were filming Baywatch. She contemplated turning the car North and driving up to Canada instead. That would be if it weren't for the person she almost ran over.
'I'm walking here!' A man about her age banged on the front of the car. She'd bumped into him, not breaking fully before the crossing and rolling into him. Annabeth had considered apologising but she decided against it, instead relishing in the fact that she had found someone also in a bad mood. She watched as the messy black head of hair bobbed amongst the sea of people and disappeared. The only descriptor she could use to ever find this man would be a bleached streak in his hair.
But that was months ago, it would've been grown out by now.

“That was … god, that was beautiful.”
Tim hums in agreement, watching as Dom and sub hold each other in the aftermath of their public scene. He then turns around, and his eyes widen and his breath catches in his throat as he realizes who is standing next to him, speaking to him.
God, but she’s breathtaking.
“Y-yeah, it was,” he stammers, and he feels like he can barely breathe as he watches her. “The aftercare… it’s one of my favorite parts.”
The woman nods, and Tim watches out of the corner of his eye as she wraps her arms around her chest. Her eyes are downcast and her fingers shake a little as she tucks them into her underarms, and Tim frowns because even after scening, a sub shouldn’t be shaking the way she is.
“Are you alright?” he asks, and she nods as she bites her lip and glances up at him.
