“Im not religious.”The singular thing standing between Aaron and prison was the fact that serving time would negatively impact his medical career, but the pros started to slowly outweigh it. So Aaron simply stared and to his dismay, Kevin stared right back.
“You were kneeling in front of a bush. Isn't there something like that in the bible?”
“I was throwing up.”
“Good, then your memory is functioning. Did you mean it?"Kevin looked at him for a long moment.
"Yes."
"Okay."
"That's it?"
“It was occupying my mind. It was starting to bother me.”
“Im bothering you?”
“Always.”Or: Kevin confesses and Aaron proceeds to have the least efficient emotional crisis in recorded history.

Kevin's chin dropped. All the way down to the floor in front of him. Out of all the possible ways that he had thought Aaron would reject him, the possibility of him not rejecting him had never crossed his mind once.

Aaron was faster, cutting Kevin off mid talking to add to his earlier statement.
"No; I do not like you... Yet."
"I think I need to sit down for this one. You are more confusing than that one backliner strategy that Wymack showed me."
