The telephone in Ayla's tree has always been a strange one.
People who live in her neighborhood come and use it to call their loved ones, loved ones who they can't see or hear or be with anymore. Or not. Featuring okonomiyaki meet-ups, mahjong circles, and a small explosion or two.
"What the hell are you guys playing at."
"Kizaki-san let Jin drive," drawled Ikoma. "Backed right over him. Now he's only half the man he once was." He angled the cardboard cutout, directing Arashiyama's frozen gaze at Kageura.
