Summary
Now that he’s risen through the ranks to Wingleader, Xaden Riorson only has one goal for his last year at Basgiath: Get all the marked kids bonded and graduated so they can fight the real enemy lurking at the borders.
The only problem is that Violet Sorrengail, the general’s youngest daughter, has also joined the Rider’s Quadrant this year. He doesn’t know why she’s here, what her plans are, or if he can trust her. All he knows is that he can’t seem to stay away.This is Fourth Wing retold from Xaden’s POV. It follows the dialogue and timeline from Fourth Wing with my own interpretations and theories of Xaden’s actions and feelings. As it was written before the release of Iron Flame, all ideas and theories are just that – theories. Many elements are my own head cannons/speculation and are unconfirmed by Rebecca Yarros.
I would recommend reading Fourth Wing first as there are major plot spoilers throughout!

This is a fic I've had in my head for literal years, since I joined this fandom in like 2016, and I finally decided to write it after watching the season 4 finale. A slightly aged up AU/canon divergence where the kids are a couple years older, but mostly canon and set during season 5. This fic is basically just my idea of how the final battle with Hawkmoth will play out and how these crazy kids will finally get together. Essentially probably gonna be a 75k word headcanon. Lots of reverse love square antics and also normal love square antics. DOES FOLLOW SENTI!ADRIEN THEORY; but happy vibes.

Summary
After the defeat of Gabriel Agreste and the disappearance of the mysterious peacock miraculous user, Marinette is left to try her best as Guardian and pick up the pieces. With the kwamis left in hibernation, no leads on the missing peacock miraculous, and no way to contact her beloved partner, she's left to her wit's end on where to proceed.
That is, until the prime suspect of the peacock wielder coincidentally takes up an apprenticeship at her parents' bakery. Adrien Agreste, son of Hawkmoth, has seemingly planted his roots in her home while Marinette was away for an apprenticeship. This could either be a disaster in the making, or the perfect opportunity to retrieve the missing miraculous... either way, it's war.
At least, it would be, if the gosh darn villain weren't so sweet!
