Humans often take little things like that for granted, but they can sometimes be the only things that keep us going. The lingering music reminds us that we are not alone.
But Regulus Black is. His only companion is the cloud of loneliness that hovers close by, until he finds the diary.
Some of us just need to write. It begins as an itch, then turns into an all-consuming ache. We are writers; we cannot eat or sleep until the words bleed onto the paper. And oh, how wonderful it is, when Tom Riddle listens and writes him back with unwavering acceptance.
How far will Regulus go to be recognised, and what happens when the twisted daydreams of love and friendship become reality and threaten to consume him? This is not a fairytale; it is a tale of obsession and death. After all, the snakes bite, and all the prettiest flowers are adorned with thorns.Please do not repost anywhere! They’re here, together, and they’re dancing, and there is a string of pearls around Joker’s neck streaked with the blood poured from his nose and probably the faintly lighter red of his lipstick, transferred from his lips to Bruce’s to the gems in a blur of touch. Bruce, his Bruce, who can’t stop staring at Joker’s neck, Bruce who smells like blood and Pinot Noir and something Tom Ford, and they are dancing, dancing in the bedroom of an underdecorated penthouse on the outskirts of Gotham, their worlds reduced to each other.
Joker wears a pearl necklace. Bruce has a lot of feelings about this.

When Remus takes his newly out son Teddy for his first gender affirming haircut, he never expects the salon owner and hairstylist to be Sirius Black. Furthermore, he never expects Sirius to give him his number or ask him to the Mardi Gras Winter Carnival. Not only is this guy gorgeous, funny, and involved in the local LGBT community-- he also was a part of the family that bullied Remus for being gay in the 90's. Now twenty years later, all grown up, and changed for the better, Remus gives Sirius a second chance at friendship and maybe something more.
