Summary
Jacqueline Blair, a Tiefling with two human parents, didn't have the best childhood. She was abandoned by her parents when she was barely old enough to walk. Raised on the streets, she learned how to survive by cutting purses. One day some years later, she attempts to pickpocket a High Elf, but it turns out to be the wrong or perhaps considering the circumstances, the right target. He leaves her with a lecture and enough money to survive on for a while. She's amazed by the man's kindness, and takes his words to heart, determined to make an honest living. The next time she sees the High Elf, he's with his wife, and she falls in love with Jacqueline immediately, insisting they take her home. They do, and Jacqueline is treated with love and kindness. However, that doesn't stop the taunts and gossiping from the other Elves. It only gets worse when her father teaches her the art of blade singing, which ends up making Jacqueline leave home on an adventure to discover herself, and if she's more than those horrible comments and whispers. Follow Jacqueline on her journey of self-discovery, and Vox Machina, too, as they try and juggle their adventures and being a healthy support system for their troubled teenage companion.
