Summary
I can’t do this again.
Whimper of cowardice and doubt. The unwillingness to face the consequences, the risks of choosing to fight once more.
We can, but you won’t. Not if you choke yourself with the night.
After defeating more than one ‘malevolent-entity-claiming-to-know-what’s-best-for-humanity’ and saving the world, the Phantom Thieves were done. Years passed, and everyone moved on, got lost in their own lives, sporadically kept in touch with each other.
Makoto Niijima was no exception – finishing her degree and getting a job in the police force were just the first steps on the way to becoming the commissioner and changing the system from within. A tough job, but she was content with how things were turning out so far.
Unfortunately for Makoto, this self-imposed fate had its own ideas.Series

Summary
Neve grunted, and grimaced, and powered through. Rejecting the pity, scowling at the smallest sign of compassion.
She had no need for those; didn’t care how the turned down apologies clogged more and more of Rook’s throat until the guilt piled up too high for her to speak about it anymore.“It’s not your fault.”
Neve kept insisting.
But it was Rook’s fault.
OR
Coffee and horns, guilt and hubilance.
A collection of moments, mostly set during the game’s timeline (so, spoilers + references to major plot points).

“You are getting flowers?”
Makoto’s face dropped a little, the implications of describing this situation like that awakening something awkward inside her chest. “Not really? They’re just drawings.”
“Ah.” She didn’t miss how Ren’s brows arched at that. “At least those won’t wither.”
OR
A bag full of drawings, a message in an unspoken language, and how to make Ryuji uncomfortable.

Summary
She wasn’t sure what she expected. Maybe for Ann to spin her jokingly once or twice, let her stiffly shuffle for a song or two, declare that it was just a pretext to show her something else, or that it truly was just a joke she kept up for too long.
Anything was more probable than her suddenly tapping her phone and playing some classical music.
Especially the waltz.
Out of all possible things, Ann picked the most stereotypical, iconic Strauss waltz.Makoto stared at her like she just sprouted a second head.
OR
A roof, a pair of useless dorks, and a touch of incidental destruction of property.
