Summary
Umino Iruka had never made it a secret that he disliked the last Hatake. Kakashi never questioned why, used to people deciding what he was like before they even met him. Dick tries, desperately, to keep the hope in his chest alive. “No clue. Bruce and- and Robin are fighting, or something. I haven’t really asked.”
Wally’s response to that, at first, is just this sharp little noise. “Guess you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, huh?” he says only a moment later. “Or- is it an old bat, in this case? Doesn’t really sound as catchy though…”
Or: Dick Grayson is called back to Gotham to help out with protecting the city. It doesn't take long for everything to fall apart.
