Summary
Despite their age gap and differing social circles, Castiel has struck up a warm friendship with Mary Winchester, a wealthy widowed socialite. When Castiel needs a place to stay, Mary invites him into her house, where there’s loads of spare room. Castiel’s aware that they make an odd pair, but he doesn’t fully realize how things look to outsiders, especially to Mary’s eldest son. All Dean Winchester sees is that his mom has apparently hooked up with a hot young guy (who is totally Dean’s type) and that makes things… weird.

Summary
Dean stripped off his gloves and turned on the taps, scrubbing his hands vigorously. As he squeezed out some soap, he felt the first waves of emotion start to roll over him. All through the surgery, he’d been professional and calm, but now that it was over his body was finally allowing itself to react properly to his ordeal. In his mind, he heard again the screech of wheels, felt the jarring thud of Cas slamming into him, pushing him out of the way; then came the horror of Dean sitting up to see him lying, motionless, in the road. And then that hellish ride to the local hospital, only to find that the place was overrun after a fire in an office building earlier that day, with every available surgeon busy; Cas might have had to wait until the next day – but Dean wouldn’t stand for that. Cas hadn’t complained much as he dipped in and out of consciousness – a bad sign in itself, given his usual predilection for general grumbling – but Dean had known that his friend was in a lot of pain.

Summary

Summary
On the day of supposed celebration for Dean’s graduation, he was involved in a car crash. Parents dead. Sam hooked on drugs. And Dean didn’t even get a scratch on him. Six years on, Sam was back on his feet, ready for law school with his girlfriend in tow. On the other hand, Dean felt like he hadn’t done anything with his life; he pretended the impala wasn’t sitting in his garage; there was no girlfriend on his arm; the degree was forgotten in the bottom of his wardrobe. Most importantly, he still found himself feeling a little too responsible for everything that had happened in the crash. Sometimes, it felt like he was barely holding on by a thread.
And then in came Castiel, slowly but surely turning everything into question. And then some.

This is the day that marked the Holy and Blessed Union of Dean Winchester and Jo Harvelle.
The merging of prominent bloodlines is always a grand occurrence, but breeding pedigree hunter families like Winchester and Harvelle is something to be rejoiced. It is also something to be meticulously planned, which thankfully the Host is very good at.
Or, the romantic comedy where Dean Winchester and Jo Harvelle are destined to get married, Castiel is given the task of playing matchmaker and fails terribly, the entire Heavenly Host becomes a sitcom audience, God warns against male pregnancy, and Jimmy Novak is incredibly unimpressed with angels in general.

Honestly, they’re kind of disgustingly perfect for each other and Dean’s pretty damn excited about staying with them the week before the wedding. He’s Sam’s best man, of course, and he doesn’t even mind that Jess has her own best man to share in all the organisational duties. The more the merrier, right?
Except Dean must have done something to epically piss off the universe because Jess’s best man just happens to be Castiel friggin’ Novak. He’s got even hotter since High School, but apparently no friendlier and if Cas wants to spend the week pretending like they’ve never met before? Fine. Two can play at that game.

Summary

There is a race that takes place every year in Alaska called the Iditarod, a thousand mile journey across the Alaskan wilderness by dog sled team that has come to be known as "The Last Great Race on Earth”. It is a test of endurance, of the relationship between dogs and their people, traversing mountain ranges, frozen rivers, forest and tundra.
When writer Castiel Milton is forced to spend two and a half months in Alaska at Winchester Kennels to cover the race preparations and the Iditarod itself, the only person more dismayed than he is Dean Winchester, one of his hosts. Castiel views his assignment as a punishment and is less than impressed by his surly host, and Dean distrusts the sheltered city-born writer who has invaded their home and their lives. But soon, as the Winchesters prepare for their race and Castiel learns about sled dogs and what a musher’s lifestyle is all about, they forget to hate each other and their relationship evolves into something neither of them expected.

When Dean asks him to babysit his kid brother while he goes on a date, Cas swallows down the hurt and agrees, because it's for Dean, but eventually discovers that he's been so busy assuming Dean wouldn't be interested he might have missed what's been there all along...
