Stars littered the expanse of sky before him, all the way until they touched the watery horizon. Moonbeams reflected off the rippling surface of the ocean and Yoongi wondered what it might be like to live out there. To wake up every morning to an endless view of the sea and never step in the same place twice.
With as much as Yoongi had moved around in his life, he wondered if it even mattered. And for the first time in weeks, he thought about before. He thought about the phone he left on airplane mode back at the house. He thought that maybe it didn’t matter where he was or what he was doing, maybe happiness just wasn’t something he could have.

According to ancient tradition, the eldest Omega offspring must be wed to a hybrid of a different species. Upon their eighteenth birthday, a grand ball is held, where the reigning King chooses which suitors are invited back to the palace. "He was so focused on the car that he didn’t even notice the door opening before he collided with a solid wall. He squeaked in fear as he bounced backward and braced himself for impact with the concrete.
The pain never came. He opened his eyes and let out a little gasp as he locked eyes with the man he walked into. His sharp eyes seemed to look straight into Yoongi’s mind and he found his face heating up the longer the stranger stared at him.
He looked down as he finally registered the weight around his waist and found a pair of thick, muscular arms holding him securely. The more aware of their position he became, the more aware he became of the scent that was practically forcing itself on him.
