Sokka did not expect to find an Airbender while fishing with his sister. And he did not expect a hot, sword-wielding, wise-cracking Firebender to not only help them hijack the ship, but then declare that he would be the Avatar’s teacher.

For a moment, it feels like there’s an iron grip around his throat.
Or maybe a stone one.
“Did I tell you about how one of those trolls totally had like six eyes?”
Jim smiles at him.
“You did.” He slides the casserole into the oven, and then leans his hip against the counter, something unreadable in his eyes. “We’ve got time, though. Tell me again.”
Toby does.(Toby dies, Belroc lights the world aflame, and for the first time in his life, Jim chooses to be selfish)
