Summary
Patty Newby has been raising the little girl she has from Henry Creel alone for the past 12 years, supported by her mother and her mother's family.
If only Henry was around to know his daughter, but he isn't. Somewhere in this world, Brenner is keeping him, and Patty is unable to locate him and hasn't been able to locate him since they were 17 and Henry has disappeared out of thin air, with everyone insisting he's dead. But he's not dead. She knows he's alive, even if all hope of finding him seems nonexistent.
That's until Bob gives her a call and tells her there are men in black cars going around, asking people if they've seen a tall, blonde man with blue eyes.

The small, quiet voice breaks Henry out of his trance. He has been so busy scanning the surroundings with his mind to pay attention to the familiar presence of the child living in the rundown warehouse with him. His face turns into a grimace at the title she called him by, and he schooled his features before turning to face her.
The child stared at him with all seriousness a six-years-old could muster. Henry stared back, cerulean meeting emerald. His neck was starting to strain from the amount of time he has to angle it downwards to look her in the eyes. Is she short for a child her age or is he just tall?,,
Alternative Universe - Henry Creel escapes from Hawkins National Laboratory, but finds himself playing a reluctant father figure to an orphaned child.

A baby's cry reaches him before he makes it down the hall, making him stop in his place momentarily. Oh no- he can't walk in-

"It has finally stopped raining.
Great. Because Henry desperately needed it to stop raining quickly, this trail is getting more muddy by the minute and figuring out his way is already hard enough since it's dark, but with rain? And mud? It's a disaster.
He grunted, walking as fast as he could away from the sirens going off in the distance. It has been 2 hours since he had escaped the lab, and he has no doubt backup has arrived. They'll be covering the area soon. He needs to move. He needs to get somewhere safe. Someplace where they won't find him. Somewhere warm and closed.
Henry cursed as he heard another call from the army tank. He scanned the area best he can, the dark not helping much. He took a deep breath, using his senses to scan the area this time. There. A small apartment in an old apartment building. He can break in. He starts walking in that direction, pace brisk, when he suddenly bumps into a small stump.
A stump that let out a cry.
That's not a stump.,,
Or; Henry escapes the Hawkins National Laboratory, aiming to maim those who hurt him and finish humanity. Somewhere along the lines, this goal becomes the least of his priorities.
