A year has passed since the now 24-year-old Ronnie Anne Santiago took the mantle of La Tormenta following Blanca Guzman's sudden retirement, and the young woman has done the role proud. She has won numerous matches, rapidly ascending the ranks and being voted unanimously the rookie of the year. Her rise to fame catches the attention of the Moon demigoddess, Punguari, who has been seeking a worthy challenger for thousands of years. And so, with her godly powers, Punguari brings Ronnie Anne to the realm of the gods, issuing a Lucha Libre challenge to decide who really is the best luchadora in the universe. Of course, being many times taller than her, La Tormenta doesn't feel her battle with Punguari will be a fair fight, but Punguari quickly solves that with a snap of her finger, enlarging La Tormenta to her height. And so the battle is on, first on the surface of the Moon and then over a shellshocked Great Lakes City…

Peter Parker should be happy. But in all honesty, he’s not
Gwen Stacy, the girl of his dreams, decided to stay with Harry Osborn out of pity. And Harry hates Spider-Man for having "killed" his father and is jealous of him as Peter Parker
He broke up with Liz Allan, the girl he’s been tutoring and whom he has developed genuine feelings for, in a misguided attempt to start dating Gwen, and now, she hates his guts
And speaking of hating his guts, Black Cat still hasn’t talked to him after what happened with her father
It all ends up becoming too much for the poor hero, who decides to end it all
But in a surprise turn of events, not only does Peter survive, but he also gains new powers and a new perspective in life. So now, he’s decided to stop wallowing in self-pity and start making a difference
Look out, New York! For the Spider is ready to bite back!
