"We heard that you're on your honeymoon!" The waiter with the drinks announces, loud enough that several tables around them can hear. "We just wanted to give our congratulations to the newlyweds. I hope you enjoy your drinks!"
Kaoru and Kojiro lie about being on their honeymoon to get an upgrade on their cruise, and have to face the consequences.

Heizou is so jittery in his arms that Kazuha can feel him vibrating, and when Kujou stops at the desk that he assumes—correctly, judging from the lack of organization and the sheer amount of paperwork strewn over the surface—is Heizou’s, he grimaces at the countless amount of empty mugs scattered around, coffee brown rings staining the top of most, if not all of them.
“How much coffee have you had?” Kazuha asks.
“I lost count after the sixth cup!” Heizou answers cheerfully. “I’ve been busy, you know? Solving cases, doing things. Ah, there’s been so much work lately! I went to Watatsumi island a couple of days ago, do you wanna see my pictures?”
“I’d love to see them later. When was the last time you slept?”
There’s a long pause. Heizou seems to be thinking rather hard about the question, which says enough on its own.
“He’s been here for three days straight,” Kujou says when the silence stretches on too long.
Or, Heizou overworks himself. Kazuha is there to save the day.

Kojiro wants to die.
“No,” he blurts out when he sees Kaoru’s expressions stiffen in shock. “Lucia, no, we’re just friends. Very close friends,” he stresses.
Lucia gives him a strange look. “Really? Oh… sorry about the room, then,” she admits with an easy shrug, and Kojiro’s eyes widen. “We kind of all thought you were dating. Marcel was in charge of the room assignments. You can blame him!” She pats a shell-shocked Kojiro on the arm. “I’ll see you at the reception, huh? I’m going to say hello to the lucky bride.”
“Bye,” is Kojiro’s belated greeting, and he turns to Kaoru, terrified to see his expression, but Kaoru’s face is completely blank.
“Hm.” Kojiro swallows. “What exactly have you been telling your culinary school friends that all of them think we’re dating, Kojiro?”

Kaoru pinches the bridge of his nose. For once, Kaoru wishes Kojiro would divert this attention to his fangirls, instead.
“Really,” he mutters out when he feels Kojiro’s expectant gaze.
“You wanna be one of them?”
Kaoru despises himself for the way his heart skips a beat when the meaning sinks in. Not for the first time, he’s grateful that his outfit for S masks the better half of his face.
In an almost uncannily similar way to the first time Kojiro had pulled out such a line, an energetic “Joe!” turns Kojiro’s attention away. With a wave and a wink, he skates away, leaving Kaoru fuming.
“Carla.”
“Yes, Master.”
“...what was that?”
Kaoru doesn’t really know why he’s asking again. Maybe it’s because a part of him thinks he’ll find comfort in the reassurance that Kojiro’s actions are 100%, entirely irrational and unpredictable.
Carla glows. “There is a 96% chance that Joe the imbecile is flirting with you.”
This time, it is his own skateboard on the receiving end of Kaoru’s stunned stare.
