Summary
Will Byers and Jane Hopper have spent almost their entire lives in California. They have friends, plans for junior year, and a life they've built together. Then everything changes.
When Joyce and Hopper announce they're moving the family back to Hawkins, Indiana, Will and Jane are forced to leave behind everyone they care about for a town Will barely remembers and neither of them wants to call home.
As they struggle to adjust to small-town life, new schools, and the ghosts of Will's past, an unexpected trip to the local grocery store introduces them to three boys who might make Hawkins a little easier to survive.
Between awkward first meetings, new friendships, old memories, and feelings neither of them expected, Will and Jane begin to discover that sometimes the places we never wanted to return to can become home all over again.
