With the threat of Zane looming over Phoenix Drop's heads, Garroth knows it's his responsibility to fix things. Zane is after the relic in his arm. Zane is also after him, for some reason unknown to Garroth. There's too much at stake for Garroth to involve anybody else, so he decides to do something every other person in Phoenix Drop would say is stupid and reckless; maybe even suicidal—Garroth would say it's a noble sacrifice for the ones he loves.
Nothing he does can get past his baby brother, though.
