Aloy is only a week out from the Proving, and she's impatient to win the boon of the Matriarchs to learn the answers of her origins. But a tacked-on condition of the ceasefire treaty promises to change her life forever, bringing her to new lands where danger lurks at every turn. Along the way, she must navigate her way through a hostile royal court, deal with her strange husband who burns hot and cold, and figure out how to execute a plot which may be her only hope of one day returning home to Rost.

Xavier follows your horrified line of sight and you watch, frozen in place, as his eyes widen when they land on the handcuffs. A mix of emotions flicker across his face: surprise, confusion, curiosity, and...could that be desire?He walks over to the bed and picks up the silver cuffs, turning them over in his hands. He glances over to you with furrowed brows, confusion written on his face.
"You bought handcuffs...for us to use around the apartment?"
Your mouth opens and closes, but no sound comes out. A dozen lies flit through your mind, all of them much better than what you actually end up saying.
