Summary
If he were still in the habit of keeping a detailed medical logbook, Crocus would have started this past week’s entries with the line: I seem to have lost my little-remaining sanity.
In a span of six days, he’s gone from being alone with Laboon and his lighthouse duties, to a full inundation of teenagers and children claiming to be mentally adults (with hardly a lick of maturity or good manners to be seen), one functioning vessel beside the ramshackle remnants of what essentially amounted to a raft of scrap metal and sailcloth (which of course fell to pieces the moment they came screaming down the long slope of Reverse Mountain), and his own awakened memories of a future which has not yet come to pass, and now likely won’t, thanks to meddling from his aforementioned ‘guests’.
It’s the most entertainment he’s had in years.

“There she is!”
Vert’s head snaps up.
See, even in a nice place like Corner Village, there are always some assholes ready to make trouble. And sure enough, a couple of thugs who usually have to be tossed out of the local bar after indulging too much are staggering up the docks, leering grins on their faces. “Oi, Hot Sails! Hand the bounty over!”
Hrm.
“Get in,” Vert says, letting go of the woman’s arm. “But don’t try to go anywhere with my boat, she’s temperamental.” That said, he takes two steps forward and plants himself on the weatherworn planks.

“Oh, of course. Very fitting.” An amused glint lingered in Sabo’s gaze, a far cry from the usual glazed expression Robin had a tendency of inspiring from ‘stuffed shirt’ types. “If you don’t mind my asking, how long have you been out here?”
“About sixty cases.”
“...I beg your pardon?”
Robin chuckled. “We measure time in beer. We start in June with a hundred cases. We’ve gone through about sixty so far.”
“Sixty-three, to be exact,” a new voice clarified. Nefertari Vivi stood in the shade of the trailer, waiting for them, pale blue hair pulled up into a high ponytail, dressed in cut-off jeans and a workshirt tied at her midriff.
Robin introduced her to the lawyer, before adding, “Miss Nefertari is quite vital to our work around here. She’s very good at what she does.”
“Ah? Which is?”
“Paleobotany,” Vivi grinned, opening the door to lead the way into the trailer. “And the standard field preps. And covering for Miss Nico when her social graces decide to pull a runner.”

Summary
Perhaps observing him sitting on the deck, clutching at his skull, is enough to reassure the little boy that Brook is no threat. He cautiously clambers aboard, sword clutched in one hand, and leans forward to give Brook’s nearest foot a poke with the tip of his blade. The sheer absurdity of it should be enough to make anyone laugh, but the skeleton manages to restrain himself. “You- are you dead?”
“In a sense, yes! But also technically, no! Yohohoho!” Well, at least he restrained himself momentarily. With no hat to doff, Brook settles for sweeping his arms about and bowing from his seated position. “Humming Brook, last remaining member of the Rumbar Pirates, at your service!”
The boy’s eyes grow very wide. He stares at Brook for a long moment, before glancing about the rather tattered ship, and seems to come to something of a decision. “If you’re a pirate, I should arrest you.” Ah. That does not sound promising. “But... If I rescue you instead, that means you owe me a debt?”
Judging by his immediate grimace, the child didn’t mean for that to come out as a question.

“Sherman, tow the Chopper with the Buster. Stanford, you’re on curfew enforcement.”
“Curfew enforcement? What's that?” Zoom asked, leaning his weight on Vert still.
“A new protocol, just for you. Get in the Reverb.” Vert said. The initial panic and adrenaline was wearing off, leaving only his anger.
“What? I know I screwed up but I’m fine!” Zoom wheezed out. “I can still drive the Chopper.”
“No can do, the wheels are bent more out of shape than Vert.” Sherman said, securing the Buster’s towline to the twisted frame.

She can't let Shamrock do that to himself.
So she claps her hands, once, to bring his eyes to her. Shanks freezes too, which is probably good. Makino is pretty sure he isn't supposed to be moving right now.
"Nope! You aren't doing that."
"Makino." She's never heard Shanks sound like he does now, as he hisses her name. He's worried, really worried, that Shamrock might hurt her. Getting ready to fight hisbrother and scared for her, all at once.
He doesn't need to be. Shamrock could hurt her, but he won't. Not like this.

Ratthi snorted. "I mean, they sure wanted to." Gurathin said nothing, and Ratthi's humor dried up. "You're serious. You really think that Station Security would do something like that? Even knowing that SecUnit is innocent?"

Ratthi opened his mouth, presumably to say that Preservation's Security force wouldn't abuse a vague rule that was basically designed to be abused, but he was interrupted when SecUnit opened a connection to them both and said, I need help.
Ratthi stood up so fast that his chair tipped back. The clatter it made when it fell over pounded a headache into the base of Gurathin's skull. Or maybe that was from the way that he was suddenly clenching his jaw.
