“Hello, is this Draco Malfoy?” the voice on the other end of the call asks.
“Yes,” Draco replies.
“Your fiancé’s been admitted to the hospital. He’s currently unconscious, we found your information in his file. If you could get here as quickly as—”
“What?!” Draco exclaims, “My fia— What?”
“Your fiancé?” the person says, “Hari Potter? You’re listed as his emergency contact, it says you’re his fiancé. Is that not right?”
“I—” Draco chokes out, heart pounding and eyes stinging, “It— It was. I, er, we broke up.”
“Oh,” the person mutters, “Er, well, we don’t have any other contacts on file for him, do you know any—”
“No, I— I’ll be right there,” Draco says, “I’ll be right there.”
