This is really well written. And the tough subjects are REALLY well handled and don't lose any of their complexity, but it is still not too heavy to enjoy reading, and the ending is hopeful.
And also, how often do you see a fic where the main character has a crush and it's NOT the focus of the fic?? GREAT job!! -
