Post Eyes of Heaven Manual Fix-it: Using his knowledge of future events gleaned from overhearing people talk in a certain tortoise, Jotaro moves the pieces he has to save the rest of Team Buccellati. And hopefully, decide if any of La Squadra are worth saving too...
So now, Jotaro starts being more proactive... Small vignettes for the events that change surrounding Part 5 in my setting...

Big red letters announcing “DANGEROUS CONTAMINATION” flashed on half of them. He chanced another look through the tiny airlock window, where the humanoid covered in a red, blood-like substance rolled around on the floor writhing in pain. He hadn’t been writhing when they found him: he hadn’t been anything when they picked up the abnormal shape drifting in the Patrova line on their way to Erid."Ryland Grace has never been great at making friends. Now that he has a mutated, traumatized, and possibly insane man in the Hail Mary's quarantine room, he wishes he would have practiced more. Rocky wishes they'd ejected the monster out of the airlock.

Ringing silence. Sanji’s half-finished cig drops from his slack lips and rolls into the sea, another tragic casualty of familiarly insane logic. What, is it hereditary or something? “There are,” he tries weakly, when it’s clear that Ace is done and waiting for a response, “so many other ways to do that.”
Impishly, Ace tallies up another finger. “And you blush cute.”
“I’ll gut you.”
“But I taste bad.”
“I won’t know that until I try.”
Glee lights up Ace’s face. Sanji weighs the merits of going overboard to retrieve his cigarette.
Or: Ace fucks around. Sanji finds out.

Jotaro didn’t think he knew anyone as well as he knew Kakyoin now; fifty days spent sharing the same living quarters, eating the same foods, watching the same sunsets, and experiencing the same battles had weathered Jotaro’s colder exterior and pushed him to tolerate, and, later, enjoy the other boy’s presence. He had seen Kakyoin both at his best and worst; he had seen him in those rare moments where the redhead got so lost in his books that he absently chewed on the pen he used to annotate, occasionally sticking the nub in his mouth and choking on the bitter taste of ink, and he had seen him possessed, bloodthirsty, and willing to kill.
