"Let me tell you what I think," Adora says, leaning her head forward so she was nearly touching Catra's to her own, "I think you like this little game of ours. You like my attention on you, you don't even care that practically everyone, including your friends, have been staring at us since you took my hand." It's a shot in the dark but Adora is trying to get a read on where Catra actually is, because this feels... intense, in a way Adora hasn't experienced before, and it doesn't fully feel like it's because they're so-called 'enemies'.
"A game? You think this is a game?" Catra raises her eyebrows at Adora's words. "I'm here to keep an eye on you, and that's it. Truly you need to get over yourself and bring that big ego of yours down a notch. It's pretty damn close to getting as big as your forehead." She bites back, a smirk on her lips.

Summary
They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness.
But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.

The first thing Catra notices is just how tall this beautiful stranger is and then the soft golden hair tied into a messy ponytail, a set of glimmering diamond eyes shining in the moonlight. Her chiselled face is bare with no makeup but she certainly doesn't need it, GOD. A long fluffy red cardigan hugs thick biceps larger than Catra’s head.
She turns towards Catra and smiles so beautiful and warm that Catra can barely stand. Catra has become what Sparkles would call “ A desperate simp”.
“Hey, Cat. it's nice to see you.”
Catra knows those eyes, those crooked teeth and especially the scar on her cheek.
This isn't Adam’s new girlfriend.
This is the most beautiful woman Catra has ever laid her eyes on. The woman formerly known as Adam Moon.
