But he can’t think of anything. It’s like he’s a bottle full of feelings, and if he cracks the lid even just a little to respond the whole cork will come off and he’ll end up spilling his guts all over Aziraphale and his tartan bow-tie.
So he just stares. And his up until know immaculate sense of control flounders.
