After a few minutes of silent eating, Moze sets down his chopsticks, red creeping up his neck and spreading over his cheeks. “It’s spicier than usual,” he points out.
“Is it?” Jiaoqiu pops a piece of meat into his mouth, but the pain barely registers. His full attention is on the fact that, for the first time since he left the Shackling Prison, he can breathe without having the urge to gag. What if…? “Moze, I have a request.”
Moze hums, eyeing his bowl. After a moment of contemplation, he picks the chopsticks back up.
“I’d like you to scent me.”
After the events in the Shackling Prison, Jiaoqiu asks Moze to scent him. One thing leads to another.

Moze isn't impressed when he first meets the healer that he’s supposedly now serving the General with.
The lone foxian greets them at the starskiff haven when Feixiao first brings him to Yaoqing. When he turns towards Moze the smile on his face is questioning, only a sliver of his eyes visible as he looks Moze up and down, a feathered fan fluttering lazily in front of his mouth.
“This is Moze. I picked him up from my last mission. I think I’m going to make him my guard!” Feixiao says, clapping Moze on the back, entirely too cheerful considering Moze has already tried to kill her twice,
“A pleasure to meet you, Master Moze! Welcome to the Yaoqing,” Jiaoqiu says. Tilting his head to one side, he adds teasingly to Feixiao. “A guard? Isn’t he a little on the scrawny side for such a position?”
