“No, he will,” Yanqing insists. “He cares about the Cloud Knights. He is always there whenever I'm hurt.”
Sushang lets out a sigh before her mouth forms a smile—one that Yanqing realizes is a mocking smile. “Do you know how many other Cloud Knights get hurt every day? Thousands.” Sushang says, staring at Yanqing with a deadpan expression. “He doesn’t care about any Cloud Knight, he just cares about you.”
“Because I am a Cloud Knight—”
“No, because you are his son.”
Yanqing flushes. Then, just as pink started to spread across his cheeks, his frown deepened. “I-I’m not!”

After all, he could have sought out any other archon first, but he had come to him, the only dragon beside Neuvillette who still roamed Teyvat. Going off a hunch, Zhongli decides to make him an offer: He’ll teach him how to transform into a dragon. What he asks for in exchange is that his trial will take place in Liyue, only between the two of them.
Neuvillette, who has lived in the body of a human his entire life, would do anything to finally find his true form; even spend a considerable amount of time with a man he deeply mistrusts.
