Summary
The roots of the sky grazer—Genesis—were swollen, the inner tissue inflamed, and the outer shell riddled with fissures. Genesis’s husk had tenrilated suddenly; even the old rooting filaments looked wind-burned and raw. It had begun to open, tearing itself away from the soft ground researchers had made for it. There is a knot at the base that it's revealing. A long, oblong shape in the soil. It doesn’t sound hollow; it has a dense, living rhythm. The innards whoosh and creak wetly and gurgle. There's a steady thumping from the center; it seems to be pushing the fluid within its innermost shell… There's fluid buildup from one quadrant. Enough of it that the pressure of the assumed rupture is causing distressed sounds to reverberate underfoot.
Erid has found a tree in space. They don't know what it is, but they're too curious not to study this anomaly. One day, though this has been a long, mostly unseen process, the tree bears a single fruit. Not from its braches, but from under its roots.

Summary
Things didn’t work out at Vought tower that night.
Soldier Boy disappears without a trace.
Butcher can still taste the ash from the tower. Disgusting.
Things aren’t all bad though, Homelander doesn’t have any powers, Vought tower is in rubble, and from so on, taking care of business should be smooth sailing. Right? Right?!
Turns out the only luck that stroked Billy was when he had first ran into the brunette beauty Rebecca Saunders, and somehow got her to fall in his arms. That’s all the luck he remembers having.
Because having fucking regular-degular Homelander in his house isn’t what he’d call a good luck charm, especially since he’s not able to kill him.

Summary
You may find yourself thinking "???" when you read these tags. Well. In ep 9, we see Izzy eating on deck as he pontificates to the crew, and I thought.... what if food is his happy place, but he has a conflicted relationship with it because his internalized stress/rage give him tummy problems?
And what if Izzy's a slut for pain, but he only puts up with degradation/humiliation because that's the only way he thinks he can be loved? What if Roach also loves pain, but in a playful way? And what if Roach can't stand to see someone go unfed on his ship?
In The Perks of Being A Wallflower, Stephen Chbosky wrote, "We accept the love we think we deserve..." and that kind of drove this fic.
