    (Akk likes to think that it was merely that. A shift of focus. Concentrating on Ayan as something he, as the Head Prefect, is supposed to do. Keeping Ayan in focus because he was a danger to Akk’s rules was just easier to comprehend than what it was in actuality. What it still is.)

That he's buried himself irrevocably under Akk's skin, so deep that Akk can’t scratch him put with his too-blunt fingernails.

    It had never occurred to Akk that he could like someone the way he likes Aye. All of his friends were getting girlfriends, and Akk thought they were pretty and nice, but he didn’t want to kiss them. He was afraid that something was wrong with him, until Ayan came swaggering through the halls of Suppalo and Akk suddenly got it.

    He got the feeling of wanting to hold someone’s hand and make them smile and all the other sappy shit featured in Wat’s favorite indie rom-coms. And then came the feeling of wanting to know every inch, every curve, every crevice of Ayan’s body.

    But the same problem remained: every time they teetered on the edge, he pulled back.

    Or, Ayan finds something on Akk's computer. They talk (and, well...) about it.
